The Dawes Double Edge tandem is a fully fledged mountain bike designed for tough of road riding. It has an alloy frame, heavy duty front fork and wheelset. Both brakes are AVID cable disc brakes. The saddles are sporting (not very wide or padded!) and the stoker (rear) position has a suspension seatpost.
The Edge has 27 gears (Shimano Diore).
This really is a great tandem for just over a grand. IT is based on one of DAWES' top spec mountain bikes and is perfect for off roading.
